Anderson, Howard G. (4 MAY 1918 – 10 JUN 1982)

Owen – Howard Gale Anderson, 64, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was pronounced dead on arrival at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Owen Medical Center in Owen, after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen, with the Rev. Douglas R. Groenwold of St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee, officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Anderson was born May 4, 1918 in the Town of Hixon (Clark Co.) to Mr. and Mrs. Edward (Dolly Anderson) Anderson, and graduated in 1937 from Owen High School. He married the former Viola Schulze December 10, 1941 at Withee. She survives. He farmed in the Town of Hixon and also worked for the Master Package Corporation of Owen until retiring in November 1981.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Victor Peche, Medford, and Mrs. Douglas (Kathy) Knapp, Marshfield; three brothers, Roger, Athens, Harvey, Withee, and Leland, McHenry, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Edward (Beatrice) Engel, Withee, Mrs. Alvin (Vivian) Gauerke, Liberal, Kansas, Mrs. Clarence (Lillian) Warncke, West Ben, Mrs. Alfred (Elaine) Gehrke, Owen, and Mrs. Tony (June) Luzinski, Lublin; and six grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
