Mr. and Mrs. William King received word that their son Russell has received his Lance Corporal promotion as of September 1, 1969. He is stationed in Vietnam with the 1st Marine Division.

Mrs. Helga Pickett left Tuesday for her home in Sumter, S.C., after spending the past two weeks visiting the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Krarup.

Mr. and Mrs. James E. Hansen of Eau Claire visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hansen, on Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. John Warns of Chippewa visited the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Warns, and family, and his brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. William Warns of Owen, on Saturday.

Mrs. Elsie Blunck of Minneapolis arrived Thursday to visit relatives and friends for several days, and also to attend the Golden Wedding of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Krarup.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Andersen and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Christophersen were weekend visitors at the home of Mrs. Alma Christophersen.

Mrs. Ed Frederick, Mrs. Veryle Auberg, Mrs. Howard Blazer and Mrs. David Blazer went to Mosinee Sunday, where they celebrated the 1st birthday of the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Cieslik.

The home of the late Emma Bruchert was sold to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Keskimaki the past week, and they will move in the near future.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hansen and family of Waterloo, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Alvery Hansen of Osseo, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen of Sioux City, Iowa, and Martin Nissen of Glidden were among the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Krarup over the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Blunck and daughters of West Salem visited his parents and other relatives over the weekend.
