Lemke, Matilda (24 OCT 1893 – 13 DEC 1972)

Mrs. Otto (Matilda) Lemke, 79, R. 1, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 7:00 a.m. December 13, 1972, at her home.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, with Rev. William Humlie officiating. Burial took place in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery.

The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The former Matilda Young was born October 24, 1893, in the Town of Loyal, and received her education in Loyal schools, and was married on April 24, 1916 at Loyal to Otto Lemke, who survives her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Gretchen Mengel, Baker, Montana; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Bertha Krueger, Columbus, Wis., and Mrs. Ella Timm, Sumner, Iowa. She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Pallbearers for the funeral were Paul Bugar, Donald Bugar, Earl Cammers, Bill Rondorf, Clarence Hosely, and Ben Skoog.

Mrs. Verland Dux and Mrs. Erwin Dux were soloists for the services, with Mrs. John A. Olsen as organist.
