Poehnelt, Patricia May (23 SEP 1972)

Patricia May Poehnelt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Poehnelt, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and Theodore Paul Zvolena, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zvolena, route 2, Loyal, were united in marriage at 1:00 on Saturday, September 23, 1972, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, with the Rev. Father Norbert E. King officiating.

The bride was given away by her father. The adult choir sang, accompanied by Mrs. Richard Korn, who played the organ. Mrs. Alan Schoonover was the soloist.

For her wedding the bride chose a gown of Dacron organza with an empire bodice and A-line skirt and full sleeves. The oval neckline was trimmed with pearled chantilace. The total look was achieved in a lace trimmed illusion mantilla edged with Chantilly lace.

Mrs. Sharon Volovsek, Chippewa Falls, as matron of honor, and Miss Marlene Blanchard, Marshfield, and Mrs. Judy Tellock, Curtiss, as bridesmaids, wore gowns of rayon chiffon, sand bodice and sleeves with lace trimming and contrasting shirred skirt, flame in color.

Mike Zvolena, Loyal, was best man, and Dave Walter, Neillsville, and Jack Kadolph, Loyal, were groomsmen.

Performing ushering duties were Mr. Duane Poehnelt, Loyal and Jesse Zvolena, Loyal.

A reception, dinner and dance were held at the Spencer Village Hall in Spencer.

Mrs. Zvolena was a 1971 graduate of Loyal High School and has been employed at the Marshfield Convalescent Home. Her husband is a 1971 graduate of Loyal High School and is a road patrolman for the town of York.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home at R.R. 1, Chili (Clark Co.).
