David Zilz, Madison, has been selected for inclusion in the 1972 edition of Outstanding Young Men of America, according to Doug Blankenship, Chairman of the Board of Advisors for the National Awards publication.

Now, in its eighth year, Outstanding Young Men of America is an annual biographical compilation sponsored by leading men's civic and service organizations. Mr. Zilz will have his complete biography featured in the 1972 volume.

This awards volume features the accomplishments of approximately 8,000 young men of exceptional achievement from throughout the country. Criteria for inclusion in Outstanding Young Men of America are: service to others, professional excellence, business advancement, charitable activities, and civic and professional recognition.

The men chosen are between ages 21 and 35. Nominations for the awards are made by civic organizations, Jaycee Chapters, College Alumni Associations, and Military Commandants.

President Richard Nixon has said of the publication, "Outstanding Young Men of America presents a fitting testimony, not only to the success of our young people, but also to their awareness of the debt which they owe to our free society."

David Zilz is Director of Pharmacy and Central Services and Assistant Professor in the School of Pharmacy at the University Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, past president of the "Wisconsin Hospital Pharmacists', and has published articles n technical and professional practice. At present he is involved in the development of two completely new concepts in pharmacist activities and is asked to lecture throughout the United States and Canada because of his expertise in these areas.

David Zilz is married to the former Mary Ann Haunschild (formerly of Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis.).
