Graduations have taken the spotlight this week. Our congratulations to Barbara Elmhorst, who was valedictorian of Granton High School this year, and also to Ann Schlinsog, who was salutatorian. Many others have done fine work and were recognized for superior achievement.

Mr. and Mrs. Merle Bartsch and family attended the graduation party for Doug Zaleski, given by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zaleski following the graduation exercises on Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. David Lavey of Granton entertained friends and relatives in honor of their daughter, Sherry, who graduated on Thursday evening.

On Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Francis Steiner hosted a party for their daughter, Sharon.

Mr. Steve Nelson attended graduation exercises Thursday evening and returned to Camp McCoy to complete his Reserve training on Saturday, May 27.

Misses Susan Dudei and Elaine Anderson, who are working in Eau Claire hospitals for the summer, spent the Memorial Day weekend at their homes here. Mr. and Mrs. David Anderson drove them back on Monday afternoon.

Mr. Sam Brown of Rhinelander arrived at the Roland Jakobi home on Thursday afternoon and attended the wedding of his nephew on Saturday.
