Buss, Betty Diane (11 OCT 1969)

St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp was the setting for the wedding of Miss Betty Diane Buss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Buss, route 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who was given in marriage by her father to Clavin Vernon Baehr, 3229 Ernest St., Franklin Park, Ill., son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Baehr, route 1, Withee.

The Rev. William J. Matzek performed the 1 p.m. Baehr-Buss nuptial ceremony Saturday, October 11, 1969.

A floor length gown of rosepoint lace, in redingote design, was worn by the bride, along with a bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion secured to a Swedish crown of lace and pearls. Her flowers were yellow roses and white carnations.

Miss Debbie Maier of Thorp, the maid of honor, was seen in a floor length empire styled formal of peppermint chiffon and a harmonizing veil attached to a petal cluster. She carried huge yellow chrysanthemums.

Joseph Soborowicz was best man and Mike Rabska and Jerry Buss ushered.

The wedding reception and dance were held at the Quonset Hall at Thorp. The couple is living at the bridegroom's address in Franklin Park, Ill.

Both young people attended Thorp High School, Mr. Baehr graduating in 1968. He is an asbestos worker with Paul J. Krez Company of Chicago, Ill.
