Welciek, Joseph L. (17 JAN 1907 – 24 AUG 1969)

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 1969 at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home at Owen for Joseph L. Welciek, 62, route 3, Greenwood, who died Sunday, August 24, 1969 at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis, following a lingering illness.

Harold Miller of the Jehovah Witnesses conducted the services and interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Welciek was born January 17, 1907 at Racine. He was married at Neillsville August 11, 1943 to Evelyn Courter of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). The couple operated a farm in the town of Reseburg, near Thorp. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Bonnie and Sandra, both at home; and a brother, Stanley Welciek, Thorp.
