Laszinick, Ahafia (27 JAN 1877 – 11 MAR 1969)

Mrs. Ahafia Laszenick, 92, a former resident of Huron, died at St. John’s Hospital in St. Paul, Tuesday, March11, 1969.

She was born January 27, 1877 in Austria and came to the United States 74 years ago. On September 17, 1898 she married Sam Leszenick. After their marriage they moved to the Huron area, where they farmed for many years. They moved to St. Paul 12 years ago.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Nick Zubell and Mrs. James Jansky, both of St. Paul; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Orthodox Church, Huron, with Father Emile Glocer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
