Shotliff, Nancy L. (Zellhofer) (17 NOV 1942 - 31 AUG 2013)

Nancy L. Shotliff, age 70, of N4808 Wigwam Avenue, Medford; Township of Perkinstown Resident, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield where she had been a patient for the past 4 days, while being surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 6, at the Perkinstown Community Church, Perkinstown, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Interment will be at Perkinstown Community Cemetery, Perkinstown.

Honorary pallbearers are Casey Heeg, Katie Stokes, Corey and Karissa Shotliff, Sabrina and Christina Horacek; active pallbearers are Richard and David Barkow, Christopher, Garrison and Nicholas Shotliff, Jessica White, Samantha and Lisa Horacek.

Visitation will be at 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 5 at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford where there will be a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service and also from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 6 at the Perkinstown Community Church, Perkinstown.

Nancy Zellhofer was born on November 17, 1942 at Elgin, Illinois, to Fred and Dora (Bargholz) Zellhofer. She is a graduate of Hampshire High School, Hampshire, Illinois.

She married Richard “Dick” W. Shotliff on August 13, 1960 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntley, Illinois.

Nancy worked at the Elgin Watch Factory where she put jewels inside the watches for a moved to the Dorchester Area. She drove milk truck for 22 years until moving to the Perkinstown area where her and her husband built, owned and operated Rock point Bait and C-Store for eighteen years until the time of her death. Nancy was an avid reader and Packer Fan. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and crocheting. She was a member of Kathryn Lake Association where she served as past Secretary/Treasurer.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” W. Shotliff of Medford, children Kimberly (Rick) Barkow of Dorchester, Richard Shotliff Jr. of Medford, James (Kitty) Shotliff of Dorchester and Tammy (Kevin) Horacek of Dorchester; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one sister, Carol Zellhofer of Woodstock, Illinois.

She is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Dora (Bargholz) Zellhofer; and two brothers, Bernie and Bud Zellhofer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Nancy’s family to be designated at a later date.
