The Unity High School Class of 1929 met May 24, 1969 at the Colby Hotel for
their 40th year reunion. The planning committee was Mrs. George Cook, Unity, and
Mrs. Carl Johnson, Milwaukee.
The table was decorated with an anniversary cake, decorated with the class
flower, the sweet pea, and bouquets of apple blossoms.
A social hour was held before the dinner, which began at 6:30.
Prizes were given to Art Sorenson for coming the greatest distance, to Eugene
Perschke, for the most children (four), and to Mrs. Carl Johnson for the most
grandchildren.
Present were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sorenson, Marion, Indiana; Mrs. George
(Oldenburg) Anderson, Mt. Carol, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wonder, Grand Marais,
Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Oleson, Cedarburg; Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth (Pauline
Marten) Kuester and Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Bertha Slen) Johnson, Milwaukee; Mr. and
Mrs. Eugene Carroll Perschke, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Binning,
Marshfield, and Mrs. George (Lloyd Ravy) Cook, Unity.
A card was signed by all those present to be sent to Glen Misener, who is a
patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
