Ihlenfeld, Marian (Jari) (21 JUN 1921 - 21 NOV 2016)

Marian Ihlenfeld, formerly of West Bend, died on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum at the age of 95.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 12:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home with Rev. Darin Wiebe officiating. Burial followed in Washington County Memorial Park.

The family greeted relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.

She was born on June 21, 1921 in Medford to the late Louis and Anne (Paur) Jari.

After completing school, Marian moved to the Milwaukee area with her sister in pursuit of a job. While in Milwaukee, she met her future husband. On April 29, 1944, she was united in marriage to Theodore E. Ihlenfeld in Milwaukee. Theodore predeceased on May 16, 1988.

In 1950, the family decided to make Washington County their home, settling on Silver Lake. For the past ten years, Marian has been a resident of Kettle Moraine Gardens. Marian cherished her role as a wife, mother and later grandmother. Her devotion to her family was evident to all who knew her.

Survivors include two sons, Donny (Nancy) of Phillips and Larry (Sue) of Kennan; one granddaughter, Kimberly (Tim) Bauer; one sister-in-law, Lucille Jari of Medford; special nephews, William Ihlenfeld and Thomas Ihlenfeld; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Victor, Ralph and Arte; and two sisters, Grace and Ruby Piater.
