Scharer, Anna (16 DEC 1907 – 31 OCT 1957)

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Mannel Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. from St. John the Baptist Church for Mrs. Charles Scharer, 59, a native of Rib Lake, who died Tuesday, October 31, 1967 at St. Clair Hospital in Monroe.

The Rev. Werner Hemmelgarn officiated, with burial bing made in Lake View Cemetery at Rib Lake.

The former Anna Melvine Jarosch was born in Rib Lake December 16, 1907. She was married to Charles Scharer at Freeport, Illinois on May 18, 1920. They had lived at Rib Lake and Monroe, where Mr. Scharer formerly operated a tavern and had a summer residence on South Harper Lake.

Mrs. Scharer had been in ill health for several months.

Surviving are a son, Dr. Galen Scharer, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.); a brother, Fran Jarosch, Rib Lake, and four sisters, Mrs. Clara Mielke, Monroe; Mrs. Elizabeth Kobussen, Appleton; Mrs. Mary Gilbertson, Elderon and Mrs. Lyle Tiaber, Anaheim, California
