Violet "Vi” H. Edwards, 83, of Eau7 Claire died Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at Grace Woodlands where she was a resident.

Violet Helen Edwards was born Feb. 24, 1933, in Neillsville, the daughter of Paul and Lillian (Schnabel) Wagner. She attended Meadowview School and graduated from Neillsville High School. They later divorced, and after they sold the business, she remained working in retail for several years. She was also a member of the Merrillan Eastern Star. Vi eventually moved to Eau Claire and worked as a housekeeper until her retirement. She enjoyed needlepoint, sewing and embroidery but her main love was her family. Vi is survived by two sons: Scott (Vickie) Edwards of Eau Claire and Steve Edwards of Mauston; a daughter-in-law, Dee Osell of Prior Lake, MN; and son-in-law, Ray Walker of Humbird; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeff; daughter, Lori Kay; grandson David Robert Walker; and brothers: Verlyn, and Ronald, and a sister, Lorraine.

A Memorial service will be held for Vi at 12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Terry Marg will officiate. Visitation time will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday Dec. 16, 2016, at the Gesche Funeral Home.
