Kotrba, Rose B. (15 December 1933 – 8 November 2016)

Rose B. Kotrba, 82, of Stanley, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Country Terrance, Stanley under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. She was born on December 15, 1933, in Stanley to the late Cecil and Edna (Kroeplin) Meeker. Rose grew up in the area and married Ted Zaszczurynski who later died. Rose then married Charles Kotrba, who has also passed.

She is survived by her children, Geraldine Goebel of Hodgkins, IL, Gail (Ronald) Shaleen of Stillwater, MN, Terrence (Patricia) Zaszczurynski of Lublin, Glenda Green, and Gabrielle (Brian) Pecha both of Stanley and Gwen Zaszczurynski of Atwood, TN; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; her brothers: Chester (Sandy) Meeker of Stanley and Marvin (Betty) Meeker of CO; and her sisters: Rose Zaszczurynski of Stanley and Judith (Mike) Gwiazda of Thorp.

Rose is preceded in death by her two husband; her parents; son, Theodore Zaszczurynski; brothers: Lester and George Meeker; and sisters: Waneta Gwiazda and Sharon Lange.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley. Inurnment followed in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
