Thompson, Kathleen (29 JUL 1967)

Miss Kathleen Thompson exchanged wedding vows with Jerald Surges Saturday afternoon, July 29, 1967, at the Lincoln Park Lutheran Church, Milwaukee. The Rev. Gamb officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thompson, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mrs. Evelyn Surges, Milwaukee, are the parents of the couple.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length empire gown of linen bordered with Chantilly lace. Highlighting the back of her gown was a long linen train bordered with Chantilly lace, which fell from her shoulders. She carried a bouquet of mums and orchids.

Mrs. Chauncey Bailey, Racine, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Robert Thilman, Milwaukee, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. They wore two tone blue floor length empire gowns and carried blue and white camellias.

Attendants of the groom were Thomas Jansen, Milwaukee, best man, and Frank DePiazza, Milwaukee, the groomsman.

Following the five o'clock ceremony a buffet supper and reception were held at the copper Hearth.

After the wedding the couple left on a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, and will reside at 3903 West Thurston Avenue, Milwaukee.

The bride is a 1964 graduate of the Owen-Withee School system.
