The Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen was the scene of the nuptial Mss read by Father Karlheim on Saturday, February 25, 1967 at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, which united Miss Kathleen Mary Devine and John G. Parker in marriage. Music was rendered by Mrs. W.J. Mahoney Jr. and the Girl's Choir.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Devine of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parker of Owen.

When given in marriage the bride wore a bridal gown of Peau de soie fashioned with a fitted bodice, having a straight skirt and tapered sleeves. The train was appliqued down the middle with the neckline outlined with applique and down the front of the dress. Her fingertip veil was attached to a headpiece of roses. She carried a bouquet of yellow carnations and ivy.

Mrs. Joseph Pawlak of Thorp, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a dark green velvet dress and carried bronze pomps.

Attending the groom was Mr. Joseph Pawlak of Thorp. Ushers were close friends of the groom, John Strohkirch and Bill Bjornstad.

Following the wedding ceremony a dinner was served in the church dining room.

The bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School, Class of 1964, and attended the vocation school in Eau Claire for one year. She has been employed in the office of Fabri-Tec in Eau Claire.

The groom is also a 1964 graduate of the Owen-Withee school system and was recently graduated from DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. He is employed as an electronic technician for an aircraft production company in Fort Worth, Texas, where they reside at 6709 Calmont.
