Barrett, Lola Lillian (2 SEP 1885 – 9 DEC 1966)

Mrs. James Barrett, 81, who had made her home on a farm three miles north of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), in the Town of Hoard, for the past 56 years, died there when she suffered a heart attack on Friday, Dec. 9, 1966.

Funeral services were conducted at two o’clock Monday afternoon from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Curtiss, officiating. Burial was made in Pink Hill Cemetery, Curtiss.

Serving as pallbearers were Ed Page, Don Fagan, Ray Purgett, Russel Klug and Richard Milhelejczyk..

Mrs. Barret, nee Lola Lillian Cushman, was born Sept. 2, 1885 at S…town, Illinois. Her marriage to the late James Byron Barrett, who preceded her in death in June 1964, took place in 1908 at Springfield, Ill.. The couple came to Clark county two years later, settling on their farm north of the city in 1910.

Survivors are a son, James Barrett, rte. 2, Owen; six daughters, Mrs. Ted (Iva) Woodbeck, Fairbanks, Alaska; Mrs. C.K. (Opal) Gustafson, Wausau; Mrs. Carl (Wanita) Pudeman(?), rte. 2, Loyal; Mrs. Mary Luchterhand, Unity; Mrs. Vernon (Beatrice) Hanson, Withee; and Mrs. Ted (Barbara) Acher, Medford; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
