Judith Mae Lamovec was born on October 29, 1941 in Town of Mead in Clark County, WI, to Frank and Helen (Brezic) Lamovec. She attended Greenwood area schools and graduated as Valedictorian from Greenwood High School, class of 1959. After completing her education, Judy worked in Marshfield at Weyerhauser. She was united in marriage to Richard L. Bauer on April 15, 1961 at Holy Family Catholic Church, in Willard, WI. They resided in Greenwood until moving to Thorp to farm. Richard and Judy worked together side by side, on their dairy farm, raising their 6 children. They remained on the farm until Richard's death on September 27, 1987. Later, Judy was so proud to sell the family farm to her son, Patrick, and his wife Dolly. She then moved to town, where she continued raising her young family. Judy worked at the Ben Franklin store in Thorp, and later at the State Bank of Withee, where she had many good friends.

She retired and married Leland Mayenschein on June 12, 1999 at St. Hedwig's Chapel in Thorp. They moved to Rock Dam, where they lived until Leland's death on July 22, 2011. Judy continued to reside at Rock Dam until her death.

She was a member of St. Bernard - St. Hedwig's Catholic Church and its PCCW, the Clark County Homemakers, and the Rock Dam Rockers.

She loved gardening, canning, baking, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Judy also babysat her grandchildren when needed, and was always there for her 6 children whenever they needed her. She was an avid Packer and Brewer fan, and loved listening to all types of music.

Judy is survived by her 6 children: Jeanette (Joe) Dougherty of Jupiter, FL, Charlene (John) Abramczak, Patrick (Dolly) Bauer, Michelle (Gregg) Turenne, Suzanne (Jamis) Anderson, and Kristin (Patrick) Hempleman, all of Thorp, WI; 15 grandchildren: Jenna and Jack Dougherty, Jeffrey (Jessica) Abramczak, Joshua (Nichole) Abramczak, Zachary and Chanda Bauer, Matthew, Andrew and Alexander Turenne, Brooklyn, Carson, Connor, and Brodey Anderson, and Bradley and Riley Hempleman; 5 great-grandsons: Brent, Payton, Logan, Parker and Paxton Abramczak; 3 siblings: Jerry (Mary Lou) Lamovec of Willard, Mary Jean (Larry) Hadzima of Neillsville, Germaine (Rob) Levac of Mukwonago; 2 brothers-in-law: Robert (Dickie) Bauer of Loyal, and James (Lucille) Bauer of Marshfield; one sister-in-law: Louise Bauer of Loyal, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
