Strasser, Alan (19 JAN 1987 - 20 SEP 2016)

Alan Strasser, 29, of Wausau passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.

He was born January 19, 1987 in Wausau to Lisa Teske of Gilman and Dan Strasser of Mosinee.

Alan was a 2005 graduate of Antigo High School and earned enough credits to also receive a degree in Machinery from Northcentral Technical College, Antigo. After graduating, he moved to North Carolina completing mechanic training at the Nascar Technical Institute. He was currently a machinist at Wausau Window and Wall. Alan enjoyed golfing, fishing and watching Nascar racing. He was an avid hunter always looking forward to deer season. He had a passion for smoking meats, sharing with family and friends especially during Packer games.

Survivors also include his step father Jeff Webster of Gilman, sisters, Samantha Holster of Wausau and her children Myla and Noah, Sydney Gorecki of Milwaukee and her son Isaac, brother, Tyler Gorecki of Wausau and, maternal grandmother, Anna Teske of Wausau and paternal grandmother, Irene Strasser of Mosinee.

Alan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Earlin Teske , Eugene Strasser and great grandmother, Lillian Doze.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, August 25, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau.
