Salzwedel, Linda Marie (22 MAY 1971)

Given away in marriage by her father, Linda Marie Salzwedel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Salzwedel, route 1, Chili (Clark Co., Wis.), was united in marriage to James Elias Scheel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scheel, Neillsville, at 2:00 p.m., May 22, 1971, at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. Rev. Roland Roehrs officiated at the ceremony. "Oh Perfect Love" was sung by Mrs. Gary Lambert, Marshfield, with Mrs. Leland Garbisch, Granton, at the organ.

The bride was seen wearing a floor length, white empire gown of Chantilly lace over organza. A fingertip veil completed her attire. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses and white carnations.

Acting as matron of honor was Mrs. Ralph Scheel III, Neillsville, with Mrs. David Ellis, Marshfield, and Miss Melanie Schultz, Marshfield, as bridesmaids.

They were dressed in empire style dresses with an aqua bodice with multiple colored pant dresses of purple, Pink and aqua. Their bouquets were of multiple colored daisies to match their dresses.

Serving as best man was Ralph Scheel III, Neillsville, and as groomsmen, Mr. David Ellis, Marshfield, and Mr. Roger Salzwedel, Marshfield.

Larry Salzwedel and Art Scheel performed the ushering duties.

A reception and dinner were held in the church hall. A wedding dance was held at the Eagles Hall, Marshfield.

Mrs. Scheel is a 1969 graduate of Granton High School and has been employed at the Marshfield Convalescent Center. Her husband, a 1969 Wausau Technical graduate, and a 1970 Eau Claire Technical graduate. He is employed as a mechanic at C.E. Seif Implement, Neillsville.

After a wedding trip to the southern states, the couple will reside at route 1, Neillsville.
