Bourdeau, Lavonne Renee (17 APR 1971)

Miss Lavonne Renee Boardeau, Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and Raymond Klapatauskas, Milwaukee, were united in marriage Saturday, April 17, 1971, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Milwaukee. Father Robert Dries performed the double ring ceremony.

The young couple were given in marriage by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gale T. Boardeau, Oak Creek, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Klapatauskas, Willard (Clark Co., Wisconsin.

For her wedding the bride chose her mother's wedding gown of ivor satin with lace trim on the full skirt and tiny orange blossoms on the neck and hem. The long and satin train was also trimmed with lace. A sequined headpiece held the fingertip veil in place. Miss Bourdeau carried a bouquet of white roses and white carnations.

Miss Jane Hanson, Milwaukee, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Miss Diane Klapatauskas, Marshfield, sister of the groom, and Miss Patti Essig, Cudahy, cousin of the bride, served as the bridesmaids. They were attired in yellow chiffon floor length dresses with a train, and featuring empire waists with gold braid trim. They carried bouquets of yellow carnations with gold streamers.

Robert Gardner, Greenwood, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Charles Bourdeau, Oak Creek, brother of the bride, and Robert Trybula, Milwaukee, friend of the groom. Ushers were Don Buss, Milwaukee and Rick Bourdeau, Oak Creek.

Sister Bernabelle was the organist for the soloists, who sang "Ave Maria" and "One Hand, One Heart." After the ceremony a buffet and dance were held at Debo's Lounge in Cudahy.

The bride is a 1968 graduate of Oak Creek High School and is employed as an Inhalation Technician at Trinity Memorial Hospital, Cudahy. The groom graduated from Greenwood High School in 1965 and served three years in the U.S. Navy. He is currently employed by United Air Lines at Mitchell Field, Milwaukee.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will make their home in Cudahy.
