Miss Marcia Elizabeth Hemersbach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfonse Hemersbach, route 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Robert John Gannon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gannon, Park Falls, were married at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 1964, by the Rev. Edward Hartung, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood.
Miss Vicki Mech played for the nuptial service and the girls' choir sang. Yellow and white gladioli adorned the church altar.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta, and matching train. The dress had a scalloped bottom and high neckline. Her veil of silk illusion was secured to a bridal headpiece and she carried yellow gladioli.
Mrs. Diane Sucharski, Sparta, the matron of honor, donned a street length gown of yellow peau de soie and carried yellow and white carnations.
Henry Peskator, Waukegan, Ill., was the ring bearer; Mike Sucharski, Sparta, was best man; and Edward Bogdonovich, Greenwood, and Henry Janezich, Willard, were ushers.
The Mass was followed by a dinner and the reception was held at the bride's parents' home from 2 to 5 p.m., when the wedding supper was served.
The bride has been employed at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Greenwood, and her husband, who is a 1960 graduate of Stout State College, Menomonie, where he was affiliated with Chi Lambda Fraternity, is a teacher. Following a southern Canadian and East Coast honeymoon trip, the Gannons will make their home at Delavan.
Wedding guests, besides those from the area, came from Greenwood, Willard, Wausau, Sparta, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Madison, Park Falls and La Crosse, Wis.; Waukegan, Maywood, Elgin, Winthrop Harbor and North Chicago, Ill.; Seattle Wash.; and Tucson, Arizona.
