Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Horn received a certificate stating their daughter, Fern, has been selected to appear in the 1970-71 edition of Personalities of the West and Midwest, in recognition of past achievements, outstanding ability to service to community and state. She is a graduate of Loyal High School. At present she is a professor at Wisconsin State University, Stevens Point.

Mrs. John Neumann and granddaughters, Wendy and Cathy, with friend, Mike Volovsek of Greenwood, drove to Illinois over the weekend to Park Ridge, where they attended the wedding of Mrs. Neumann's granddaughter, Jeanne Drnek.

Yours truly was notified of the death of a cousin, Dorothy Stumke, near Green Bay, in a car accident on Thursday. She and her former husband Paul lived near Spokeville on the now Ralph Feldt farm. She was buried on Tuesday in Waupaca near where her daughter and son and several grandchildren live.

The Veefkind Homemakers Club held its monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Ervin Farnsworth in Granton on Tuesday. Six members and one guests, Mrs. Dale Sutton, voted to give a patriotism speech on February 23 at Ralph Pewcinski by each member. It was voted to give $5.00 to Winnebago boys school instead of to the monthly drives, and to give 50 to 75 cent valentine gifts. They also voted to have each hostess think up their own roll call answer for their party.

Mrs. Harvey Mews gave the drug project, which the club found very educational and informative.

Mrs. Farnsworth served lunch and will also host the knitting class on Wednesday.
