Erickson, Donna Eileen (Marriage - 15 June 1974)

The Neillsville United Methodist Church was the setting Saturday, June 15, for the wedding of Miss Donna Eileen Erickson, Eau Claire, and Joseph Edward Bill, Bloomington, Mn. The Rev. William Noble officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Erickson, Rt. 1 Neillsville, and the son of Mrs. William Connell, Eau Claire, and the late John Bill, Sr.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in an entrained gown of sheer organza and rose point lace styled with a high neckline, long, full sleeves and ruffle-flounced skirt flowing into a cathedral length train. Her veil of illusion fell from a rose point Juliet cap. A bouquet of white daisies, baby’s breath, purple statice and stephanotis, with white daisies on long satin streamers, completed her ensemble.

Bridal attendants were Miss Linda Henchen, Marshfield, as maid of honor and Mrs. Don Erickson, Neillsville, and Miss Lory Cook, Granton, as bridesmaids. Their empire style gowns of green checked gingham featured bateau necklines and puffed sleeves. They carried nosegays of white daisies and baby’s breath and wore daisies in their hair.

John Bill, Jr., Chippewa Falls, served as best man and Don Erickson, Neillsville and John Carroll, Minneapolis, Mn, as groomsmen. Guests were seated by Kurt Cook, Granton, and Galen Flunker, Chippewa Falls.

Special music included the selections “Wedding Song” and “Color My World.”

A reception was held at Bali Hai supper club.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Neillsville High School and a 1971 graduate of District One Technical Institute- Eau Claire. She has been employed in the office of an Eau Claire firm. Her husband graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1969 and from District One Technical Institute-Eau Claire in 1970. He is employed as a draftsman in Minneapolis, MN.

The newlyweds are living at 9250 Cedar Ave. S. Apt. 121 in Bloomington, MN. A wedding trip is planned for a later date.
