Neillsville (27 Feb 1919)

H.W. Klopf returned Monday from Green Bay where he attended a convention of Spanish War Veterans.

Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Klann went to Portage Friday to attend the funeral of a grandson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bartoz.

Chas. Huntley of Minneapolis spent a couple days here last week his parents, Postmaster and Mrs. Wm. Huntley.

Mrs. Marion Tardiff came from Stevens Point last week to spend a few days with her father, Chas. Gates, and also with friends.

Mrs. Jane Redell returned home to Richmond, Ind., Friday after spending several weeks here with her son, A.E. Holcomb, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Knorr and daughter, Miss Myrtle, of Neillsville, Wis., arrived yesterday from Ft. Meyers for a visit of a week or two. – Tampa, Fla., Morning Tribune

Hebert Brooks was home from Waukesha over Sunday visiting with his parents. He is employed in the plant of the Libert Motor Works. He was accompanied here by Miss Oma Newman of Corsicana, Texas, who is visiting at Waukesha.

Ed. Mead transacted business at Marshfield on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Crandall of Granton spent Sunday here with his parents.

Miss Ruth Huntzicher, who teaches at Granton, spent Sunday here with Mrs. A.C. Martin.

Judge E.C. Pobes and R.R. Williams of Marshfield were here on business on Monday.

Miss Lorna Keach of Oxford returned home Monday after an over-Sunday visit here with friends.

Miss Leona Albright returned to her schoolwork at New London Saturday after being home on sick leave for several days.

E.L. Snyder went to Camp Grant Monday to spend a few days with the 32nd Division, which just returned from France and of which he was a member of one of the units.

Norman Ziebell returned to his work at Minneapolis on Friday.

W.C. Thoma, county highway commissioner, was at Dorchester on Saturday and reports that there was good sleighing in the north end of the county at that time, while in the south end there was none whatever.
