Soczka, Rosemary V. (Pecher) (16 JUN 1933 - 1 APR 2016)

Rosemary V. Soczka, 82, Edgar, passed from this world into the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born in Athens on June 16, 1933, daughter of the late George and Mary (Felzkowski) Pecher.

On June 3, 1953, she married Harvey Soczka at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wuertzburg. Rose worked several years at Roddis in Marshfield and retired at Standard Container in Edgar. She was a member of the PCCW at Holy Family Catholic Church in Poniatowski. She also owned and helped operate the family farm along with her husband in Edgar.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey; two sons, Kenneth (Linda Marie Hill) Soczka, Merrill and Arlan (Joann) Soczka, Edgar; two daughters, Karen Seigel, Germantown and Charlene (Robert) Wichmann, Arbor Vitae; nine grandchildren, Greg, Wendy, Jenny, Matthew, Shandi, Michelle, Virginia, Pamela and Valerie; six great-grandchildren; three siblings, Clemens (Grace) Pecher, Marshfield, Duane (Pat) Pecher, Stetsonville and Pat (Jim) Miller, Dorchester; one sister-in-law, Janet Pecher, Marshfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Urban Pecher.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Thomas Huff will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

The family will greet friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of arrangements.
