Cantrell, Randall William (5 May 1951 - 4 April 2016)

Randall Cantrell, 64, of Granton died Monday, April 4, 2016, in the Palliative Care Unit of Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Randall William Cantrell was born May 5, 1951, in Sparta, the son of Randal and Norma Jean (Seefeldt) Cantrell. He attended Tomah schools until his family moved to Neillsville. He graduated from Neillsville High School in 1969. Randall then farmed for many years before moving on to truck driving. He drove 20 years for Roehl Transport until 1995 and then he began driving for Smith Feed/Vita Plus.

He loved farming and animals, especially Jersey cows. He enjoyed working the land and tinkering on tractors. Randall could build a house and rebuild a tractor. When he wasn’t outside working, he enjoyed reading books.

He is survived by two step-children: Brian (Melissa) Schieber of Stratford and Shawn (Gabrial) Schroeder of Marshfield; step-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Cantrell of Waupaca.

Randall was preceded in death by a step-daugher, Amy Schieber, and his parents.

A Memorial Service for Randall was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April12, 2016, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Terry Marg officiated. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
