Sandra Leone Guzman was born on Nov. 27, 1943, in Stevens Point, the daughter of Raymond F. and Melva P. (nee Catlin) Guzman. When she was a small child, her family moved to Loyal, where she was raised and received her education, graduating from Loyal High School in 1962. After completing her education, Sandra went to work at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where she held several positions in a career that spanned more than 40 years. She retired in 2007, continued to live in Loyal, and volunteered for the lunch program at St. Anthony Catholic School until her death. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Sandra had many interests, including her love for animals, especially dogs and cats, children, the Packers and Badgers, babysitting her neighbors’ dogs, and hunting and fishing in her younger years.

She will be dearly missed by two brothers, Thomas (Sharon) Guzman, Friendship, and Jack Guzman, Madison; two nieces, Jill Guzman, Friendship, and Amy Guzman, Middleton; one nephew, Ryan Guzman, Middleton; two great-nieces, Ashley Kubly, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Alyssa Kubly, Friendship; two uncles, Clark (Jan) Catlin, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Frank Catlin, Marysville, Mich.; and other relatives and friends.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.

Sandra’s family asks that memorials be given to St. Anthony Catholic School or to the Clark County Humane Society.
