Ruesch, Margaret Marie (Dohm) (14 JUL 1917 - 14 FEB 2016)

Margaret Marie Ruesch, age 98, passed away at Aspirus Care and Rehab, on February 14, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday February 18, 2016 at Community United Church of Christ, Medford, with Pastor Mary Jo Laabs, officiating. Interment will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM, at United Church of Christ, Medford.

Margaret was born July 14, 1917, in Faith, South Dakota, to Edward and Bertha (Doyscher) Dohm.

She graduated from Medford High School in 1934.

Margaret married Albert E. Ruesch, in Stetsonville, on October 23, 1937. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2001.

Following High School graduation, Margaret went to work in 1935 in St. Paul, MN for Nul Kin Chu Chinese restaurant as a waitress for 2 years. She then returned to Medford where she met Albert, and became a house wife, and raised her family. She also helped Albert, who owned The Hillside Mink Ranch until retirement. Margaret enjoyed her children, grandchildren, reading, completing crossword puzzles, attending church, and shopping.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ, served as President of the Women’s Guild for 4 years, and secretary for 30 years.

Survivors include children Elaine (James) Greiner of Medford, Marjorie (Wyman) Julius of Cody, WY, Norma Jean (Chuck) Strebig of Medford, and Jon (Clea) Ruesch of Medford; 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents Edward and Bertha (Doyscher) Dohm; 2 brothers; Robert and Lloyd Dohm, and 1 sister in infancy.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in honor of Margaret may be made to United Church of Christ.
