Pleasant Ridge (30 May 1974)

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Vine entertained Thursday evening in honor of their son, Paul, who graduated from Neillsville High School. The Vines attended the honors convocation, Friday, May 17, and graduation ceremonies Saturday, May 18, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Their daughter, Virginia, received a Bachelor’s degree with a Spanish major in education. A member of the national educational honor society Pi Lambda Theta, she studied in Spain during her junior year.

Miss Shirley Magnuson of Minneapolis, Mn, was home for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Miss Donna Erickson of Eau Claire was honored at a bridal shower Satruday at the Donald Erickson home.

Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Ruben Hantke and Pauline were Mrs. Nellie Yankee and Mrs. Nadine Novotny of Neenah.

Sunday visitors at the Earl Magnuson home were Mrs. Dick Kunes of California, Mrs. Dick Fox of Wausau, Norman Wiley of Florida and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McKevitt, Jr., of Neillsville. The out-of-towners were in the area for the 25th anniversary reunion of the Black River Falls High School Class of 1949. Mrs. Kenny Meyers of Phoenix, Az., also visited at the Magnuson home during the weekend, and Mr. and Mrs. William Schunke of Black River Falls spent Monday there.
