Schmitt, Genevieve C. (14 NOV 1916 - 20 DEC 2015)

Genevieve C. Schmitt, Age 99, of Abbotsford formerly of Green Bay passed away with her daughter by her side on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Golden Living Centers - Continental Manor in Abbotsford.

Per Genevieve’s wishes a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Genevieve was born on November 14, 1916 in the Township of Hull, the daughter of Robert and Magdalena (Ohlinger) Schmitt. She attended Riverside School in the Town of Hull, Marathon County through the eighth grade. Genevieve was employed by the Diocese of Green Bay for 49 years in secretarial services. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Genevieve enjoyed knitting and sewing.

Survivors include her daughter Marlene (Donald) Kaiser of Colby; her 10 grandchildren: Mark Kaiser of Colby, Michael (Dawn) Kaiser of Medford, Margo (Kim Kalepp) Kaiser of Baraboo, Melinda (Hutch Brahmer) Kaiser of Medford, Mitchell (Sara) Kaiser of Mesquite, NV, Marty (Gwenn) Kaiser of Colby, Marijo (Peter Danis) Kaiser of Newton, MA, Marlin (Lorrie) Kaiser of Colby, Melissa (Barry Christianson) Kaiser of Strum and Marshall (Anna) Kaiser of Mosinee.

Genevieve is further survived by her 20 great grandchildren: Christopher, Courtney, MacKenzie, Griffin, Markie, Molly, Rachel, Bailey, Quinn, Hanna, Mitchell, Kelsey, CJ, Drew, Amanda, Andrew, Riley, Jailin, Samuel and Alexandra; eight great-great grandchildren: Madelyn, Jonathon, Hayden, Gebriella, Zoe, Bentey, Kaiser and Sutton and a sister-in-law Loraine Schmitt.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Agnes Schmitt and Henerietta Jungwirth; her brothers: Isador, Raymond and Halerion Schmitt and a great grandson Elliot Kaiser.
