Lindner, Theresa (10 DEC 1895 – 7 NOV 1957)

Sister M. Simona, nee Theresa Lindner, daughter of Mathew and Anna (Shober) Lindner, was born in Millston on Dec. 10, 1895, and came with her parents to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1912.

In 1914 she entered St. Rose's Convent, and in 1919 she received her final vows as a Franciscan Nun.

She has been ill for the past two years with cancer and passed away at St. Rose's Convent, La Crosse, at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 1957.

A requiem High Mass was said at St. Rose's Convent Chapel at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9th, Burial was made in the Convent cemetery.

Sister Simona is survived by six brothers, Mathew, Andrew, Casper, John, Erhardt, Anton Lindner, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bushman, Mrs. Catherine Schmitz and Mrs. Gerald (Anna) Denk, all of Greenwood.

Those from here who attended the funeral were Matt Lindner and Loretta, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lindner, Mr. and Mrs. Casper Lindner and Jacqueline, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Lindner, Mr. and Mrs. John Lindner and Alice, Erhardt Lindner, Mrs. Catherine Schmitz, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Schmitz, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Denk and family, and Nancy Gregorich. Others who attended were John Shober, West Salem; Robert Lindner and son, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Lindner, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lindner Jr., all of Milwaukee.

Mrs. Mary Bushman was unable to attend because of illness.
