Stencil, Jeanette "Jan" M. (5 SEP 1942 - 7 NOV 2015)

Jeanette "Jan" M. Stencil, 73, Weston died Saturday, November 7, 2015 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at the Hospice House, Wausau.

She was born September 5, 1942 in Wausau, daughter of the late Anthony and Adeline (Switalski) Stencil.

She married Joe Toth and together they had three children, Mike, Jim, and Debbie. Jan always filled her home with love and put her children first in her life. She often looked back on those times of being a mother and homemaker as the best times of her life.

She later married Wayne (Bud) Hillmann. They enjoyed traveling and watching NASCAR and hockey during those years. After many years apart, Jan and Bud reconciled and he was a constant source of comfort to Jan as she battled cancer during the last year of her life.

She held several customer service jobs during her life and before retiring, she was a sales person at a women's clothing store. She often made her coworkers and friends laugh through her antics and sense of humor. Her customers loved her caring and personal touch. Through all of life's ups and downs and changes, she had three constants in her life: the love for her children and grandchildren, the family cottage near Minocqua, and her faith in God. Her father built a cozy cabin on a small serene lake when Jan was young. It was the perfect place for Jan to watch her children and grandchildren play and grow and enjoy themselves. She always loved being at the cottage. It was one of the few places where her family could sneak a picture of this very camera shy person. She was active in her church and lived her faith by being a constant prayer partner for those in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but especially by her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Mike (Bobbie) Toth, Plover, Jim Toth, Wausau and Debbie (Kurt) Felber, Kronenwetter, four grandchildren, Nick and Allie Toth and Kyle and Kody Felber, one brother, Allen (Sue) Stencil, Florida and her former husband and caring friend, Bud Hillmann.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. The Rev. Louis Britto will preside.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice House, Wausau.
