Krebsbach, Edmund M. (16 OCT 1917 - 20 MAY 2002)

Edmund M. Krebsbach, 84, W176 Blueberry St., Edgar, died Monday, May 20, 2002 at Memorial Health Center, Medford.

Edmund was born October 16, 1917 in Johnsburg, Minnesota, son of the late John and Kate (Stephani) Krebsbach. On September 8, 1947, he married Marie Dahlke at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. She survives.

Edmund was a US Army Veteran serving in England, Africa, Sicily, Egypt, India and Burma. He was a life-long member of the American Legion Sawyer-Drumm Post #393, Edgar. Edmund farmed in the town of Cassel and then was a truck driver for Darling & Company, Fond du Lac until the time of his retirement. He enjoyed watching the Brewers and the Braves.

Survivors besides his wife, Marie Krebsbach, Edgar includes three daughters, Cathy (Jerry) Anderson, Medford, Cindy (Dale) Lapacz, Green Bay and Margie (Leonard) Strasser, Marshfield; five sons, Terry (Jeanette) Krebsbach, Mosinee, Tom (Karen) Krebsbach, Medford, Chuck (Debbie) Krebsbach, Marathon, Mike (Cindy) Krebsbach, Edgar and Ed Jr. (Donna) Krebsbach, Appleton; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; three sisters, Loretta Ploderal, Kaukauna, Jeanette Guralski, Athens and Mildred (Bob) Wilichowski, Marathon; two brothers, Urban (Annie) Krebsbach, Edgar and Ray (Lanie) Krebsbach, Colby.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Bernard Raschke will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the church. There will be a 7:00 p.m. parish rosary service Wednesday evening at the Edgar funeral home followed by a military memorial service conducted by the American Legion Sawyer-Drumm Post #393, Edgar.
