Knoop, Lettie (22 February 1894 - 14 March1974)

A former resident of the Town of Lynn, Mrs. Lettie Knoop of Tyler, Mn, died March 14 at the age of 80. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Kamke of Antigo officiating. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Services were also held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tyler, on Sunday with the Rev. Leland Woster officiating.

Mrs. Knoop, the daughter of George and Anna (Andersen) Myllenbeck, was born February 22, 1894, in Minnesota and was educated in schools there. Her marriage to Lewis Knoop took place in November of 1928. The couple farmed in the Town of Lynn. Following Mr. Knoop’s death in 1948 she returned to Minnesota. Mrs. Knoop was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tyler.

Surviving are three children: Mrs. Lylah Seehafer of Marshfield, Mrs. Lillian Hankey of Milwaukee and George Tjaden of Hendricks, Mn; Three step-children: Mrs. Arthur (Velda) Behnke of Loyal, Mrs. George (Irlene) Wagner of Marshfield and Mrs. Brooks (Lila) Karl of Neillsville; a brother-in-law, Frank Knoop of Neillsville; and 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Tjaden, Ernest Hankey, Russell R. Karl, William Wagner, Kenneth Behnke and Roger Karl. Mrs. Jack Kamke sang “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.” Mrs. George Tjaden was the accompanist.

Those from out of town who attended the services were: Mrs. Lillian Hankey, Ernest Hankey and Sandy Sather, West Allis; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Seehafer, Mr. and Mrs. George Wagner, Richard Zinhafer and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Grade, Marshfield; William Wagner, Sparta, N.J.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Behnke and Kenneth, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Roehl, Darlene Guillaume and Mrs. Marveline Butterbrodt, Loyal, PFC Roger Karl, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; Mr. and Mrs. George Tjaden, Hendricks, Mn; David Tjaden, Anoka, Mn; the Rev. and Mrs. Jack Kamke, Antigo; and Louis Duge, Fairchild.
