Granton (7 March 1974)

Royal Neighbors Fidelity Camp No. 6375 met Thursday evening with Mrs. Douglas Crandall. A donation to the Heart Fund was voted. The March meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Myrtie Davis.

Mr. and Mrs. Neal Fero and family of Milwaukee spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero.

Among those attended the World Day of Prayer observance Friday at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Chili were Mrs. Ed Kleinschmidt, Miss Ruth Pietenpol, Mrs. Verla hales, Mrs. Manford Cain, Mrs. Elmer Kapfer and Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schmidtke of Stratford were Sunday dinner guests of his mother, Mrs. Otto Schmidtke.

The Friendly Neighbors club is to meet Friday evening at the Manford Cain home.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Elmhorst of rural Neillsville were Sunday dinner guests at the Emil Henninger home. The Henningers, together with Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Henninger of Marshfield, were Saturday evening guests at the Rudy Horvat home in Willard in observance of Mrs. Horvat’s birthday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ratsch of Marshfield were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Gerald Ratsch home.

Mrs. Louis Riedel spent last Wednesday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero.

Roland Quicker accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Allen Montgomery to Phillips Saturday where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Pete Montgomery.

Granton Senior Citizens are to meet Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the village fire hall. Members are to bring sandwiches for themselves and half-dozen cookies. Coffee will be served. A social evening is planned.

The UMW of the Granton United Methodist Church is to meet this (Thursday) afternoon at the home of Mrs. Verla Hales. Mrs. Dorothy Crandall will be the Bible study leader.
