Ewald Schwarze, Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Schwarze, Mrs. Henry Nielsen, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Diercks of Greenwood, Mrs. Marth Schwarze of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Loberg and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Loberg of Christie, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schreiner of Marshfield, attended the funeral of Mrs. Kenneth Loberg’s mother, Mrs. Bertha Swoverland, in Ladysmith last Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Blaasch attended a family get-together Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bev. Punke in Hamburg. The group celebrated the 33rd birthday of Edward Blaasch of Medford, father of Harold Blaasch. Among the guests was the honoree’s sister, Mrs. Louise Chappel of Hamburg, who celebrated her 96th birthday in October.

Mrs. George Scherer and daughter, Mrs. Chester Turnquist, left Thursday to spend the weekend in Milwaukee at the home of their daughter and sister, Mrs. Ervin Sankey and family.

The birthday club was entertained Monday evening by Mrs. James McConnell with a 6:30 dinner at the café, followed by bridge playing later at the McConnell home. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Don Warner, Mrs. Palmer Vinger, Mrs. Katherine Lindner and Mrs. Marcia Palms.

The Suffragette club met at the home of Mrs. Clara Gray in the Black River apartments on Thursday afternoon.

Tom Osterhaus of Menomonie visited Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart.

Mrs. James Metcalf entertained the Tuesday afternoon 500 club at her home.

Einar Jackson and Mrs. Don Warner attended the funeral of Oscar Anderson in Owen last Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Helen Behrens left Wednesday to spend a few days in Eau Claire at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. William Yaeger, and family.

Darlene Jones has been dismissed from Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Flikke of Minneapolis spent Satruday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Christie.

Mrs. Don Warner visited recently at the home of Mrs. Florence Telford in Thorp.

The Clark County Senior Citizens steering committee met Monday afternoon in Greenwood. Mrs. Mary Ellen Sjolin, extension home economist, reported there are now 11 senior citizens groups in Clark County.

The Intersee Club was entertained Wednesday evening last week at the home of Mrs. James McConnell.
