Janesville Settlement (14 Nov 1918)

Mrs. Wm. Rowert was a Globe called Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Chas. Churkey called on Mrs. Ed. Keefe and Mrs. F. Hatton Tuesday.

Mrs. Helen Boyce is back on a visit with her children, Orle and Eugene, and her mother, Mrs. Wm. Rowert.

Mrs. Palzer and son-in-law, Geo. Albright, of Two Rivers called at the S.B. Flagg home last Wednesday.

Mrs. A.L. Borgers is at the Carl Jornby home taking care of Mrs. Jornby, who is seriously ill with bronchial pneumonia.

Evan Hatton and Roger Dillenbeck spent Sunday with Mr. Kohlman near Willard.

Simon Schultz and family of Loyal, Thomas Rovar and wife spent Sunday at the Chris Loeffler home.

Mrs. Barrett of Greenwood called on Mrs. L. Dimmeler and Mrs. J.J. Susa Tuesday.

Chas. Bostwick returned to the camp near Withee Sunday morning to spend the winter there driving team.

Mrs. D. Moorehead and daughter, Annabel, spent Friday evening with Mrs. Dillenbeck.

Antonia Marlik spent Sunday with Jennie Podovnick.

C.H. Clute of Greenwoood called on R. Waseca Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Lew Dimeler and daughter, Elsie¸ spent Sunday at the H. Bostwick home in West Eaton.

Mrs. D. Moorehead and daughter, Annabel, spent Saturday evening at F. Hatton’s.

Fred Clintsman got his call to enter the U.S. Service Thursday evening. We are sorry to see you go, Fred, but Uncle Sam needs you most.

Mrs. R. Waseca and daughters, Anna and Sophia, and Mr. and Mrs. John Susa and son, spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. L. Webber.

F. Hatton and family, Mr. and Mrs. Al. Flagg, Mrs. Chas. Bostwick and Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Flagg and Fred Kalkofen spent Sunday afternoon at C. Hatton’s.

Mrs. J.J. Susa and son, Robert, spent Friday at the home of her mother, Mrs. R. Waseca.

Joseph Buettner spent Saturday evening at S.B. Flagg’s.

Matilda Marlik and brother, Mat., and Anita Halle spent Sunday at the R. Waseca home.

We were just informed of the death of Mrs. Carl Jornby at 8 o’clock this morning. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and two small children. Mr. Jornby and family have our heartfelt sympathy.

Inez Clintsman and brother, Fred, spent Sunday at Globe with their mother.

Gertrude Davey and Genevieve Borgers of West Eaton returned from the Endeavor Academy last week, where they have been attending school the past few months.
