Carlton, Vera (22 JUN 1893 – 4 Nov 1918)

Mrs. T.V. Carlton died Monday morning at the Neillsville Hospital as the result of a brief illness with pneumonia. She was born Vera Snyder to Mr. and Mrs. August Snyder on June 22, 1893. She was born in Neillsville and grew to young womanhood here, being united in marriage to T.V. Carlton on Oct. 28, 1913. One daughter, Kathleen, was born to them, and she survives to comfort her father in his hour of bereavement. Deceased is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Nick Scherer, Ernest, Lucille, Edna and Charles. Mrs. Carlton was a young woman of exceptional attainments for she was a talented musician and was possessed of a pleasing and happy personality. Mr. and Mrs. Carlton lived here for a short time after their marriage, and then spent two years at Reedsburg and three years at Adams. Mrs. Carlton was a member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge. The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon.
