Members of the 1970 Loyal High School prom Court are: Julie Lindekugel, Patricia
Poehnelt, Luanne Haas, Pamela Schmidt, Queen Sharon Helm, King, Gene Weyer, Ray
Weyer, Wayne Kobiske, Ted Zvolena, and Scott Needham.
Loyal's junior prom, Scarborough Fair, will be held this Saturday, April 25,
1970. The prom will begin at 8:30 p.m. and last until twelve o'clock. The grand
march is planned for ten o'clock. Dancing will be to the music of the Richard
Tiller Orchestra from eau Claire. Prices are $3 per couple, $1.75 per person,
and $1 for spectators.
The highlight of this year's prom is a merry-go-round with horses, which will be
placed in the middle of the gym. The band will be on the state. As the prom
goers come into the prom, there will be a huge archway which passes people into
Scarborough Fair.
Past kings and queens are to be honored at this year's prom. There will be
royalty from the past five years, including the present king and queen and their
courts.
Scott Zupanc, chairman of the decorating committee, commented, "The prom is
going to be something completely different and fascinating. Members of our class
have been working on our prom for the past month and a half. We feel that our
work has not gone in vain, – we have turned out something magnificent."
