West Eaton (10 Oct 1918)

Pearl Berington, Walter Vetterkind, Elmer Vetterkind and Virgil Babb from near Thorp visited the Meinholdt boys and Jason Bostwick Sunday.

Miss Iva Goss visited Saturday night and Sunday at the Bostwick home.

Louie Weber sawed wood at the West Eaton cheese factory Monday.

Rudolph, Albert and Otto Meinholdt spent Friday evening with Jason and Lyle Bostwick.

Mrs. Albert Miller visited Mrs. Theo. Meinholdt Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Bostwick and son, Jason, and Miss Iva Goss spent Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Davey.

Orville Dimler and Walter Brick were seen in this vicinity Sunday.

Herman Olson called at John Able’s Sunday.

The Pratt sale was well attended and everything sold for a fair price.

Mrs. Oznick called on Mrs. Podobnik Monday evening.

Carl Davey took his best girl to the show at Greenwood Saturday evening.

We are about to lose our mail carrier, Mr. Hartson, and we are sorry to see him go as he was well liked by everyone on the route.

Miss Olga Meinholdt and brother, Arthur, returned from Sheboygan Falls Monday evening and report the trip a very pleasant one.

The Murlak children are helping the Bostwicks with their sugar beets.

Mrs. George Gemmeke and daughter, Iola, and Mrs. H. Bostwick and son, Jason, visited with Mrs. A. Davey Sunday afternoon.

Bernice Davey visited Sunday morning with Lucille Meyers.

John Schmidt visited with Carl Davey Sunday.

Carl Davey left Monday morning for Rochester, Minn., to take treatment for his throat and hearing. We hope Carl will be benefitted.

Everyone was shocked to learn of the death of Arnold Halle, who was a young man liked by all who knew him. This is a hard blow for his aged parents.
