Pohlkamp, Ida (27 October 1881 - 24 November 1973)

A former Neillsville resident, Mrs. Ida Pohlkamp of the Clark County Hospital, Owen, died Saturday, November 24, at the age of 92. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral home with the Rev. LeRoy Gross of the Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood, officiating. Burial was in the Town of Grant Cemetery.

Mrs. Pohlkamp, the daughter of Frank and Natalie (Keke) Drescher, was born October 27, 1881, in the Town of Grant where she received her education. Her marriage to Henry Pohlkamp, who preceded her in death, took place in Milwaukee. She worked there for many years as a seamstress and returned to Neillsville about 12 years ago. Mrs. Pohlkamp was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Greenwood.

Surviving is a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Leonard Drescher, Art Drescher, Norman Drescher, Eugene Thiede, Wayne Drescher and Arvid Watenpuhl.

Mrs. LeRoy Gross sang “Haven of Rest” and “Saved by Grace.” She was accompanied by Mrs. Earl Richardson.

Those from out of town who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Drescher and Karen and John Drescher of Tomah, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Thiede of Tomahawk, Mr. and Mrs. Irv Sielke of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Richardson, Wayne Drescher and Mrs. Irene Drescher of Greenwood.
