Mrs. Emil Uhlig and daughter, Mrs. Dan Abel, and baby girl of Marshfield, left for Phoenix, Ariz. Last week to visit Mrs. Uhlig's daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ellison and family. They plan to be gone about three weeks.

Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ackermann this week are their three Stecker grandchildren of Ashland and their great-grand nephew Gilbertson of California.

Mrs. Earl Schiszik is a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where she submitted to surgery Thursday.

Guests last weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson were their sons, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Erickson and family of Stoughton, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Erickson and family of Addison, Ill.

Their grandsons, Kerry and Kevin Schumacher of Eau Claire, and Rodney and Billy Erickson of Stoughton are spending this week with their grandparents.

Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long are visiting their son, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long Jr. and family at Manitowoc, and other relatives at Two Rivers this week.

Sgt. And Mrs. Clyde Peissig and family of Grand Forks, N.D. air base arrived here last weekend and are spending their vacation at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Peissig.

Mrs. Rueben Hill entertained thirty ladies at a miscellaneous shower in her home Saturday afternoon in honor of Miss Bunee Kraut, who will be married to Albert Schultz August 13. She received many lovely gifts and a delicious lunch was served.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Duluth, Minn. were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Meske. Mrs. Johnson was the former Irene Blanchard, and a former teacher in the Curtiss school system.

George Schweder and Amy Leonard of Chicago returned to their home Wednesday, after several days visiting at the home of Mrs. Bertha Peterson.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Erickson of Westby were weeknd guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Erickson. They also attended the golden wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolfram Sunday afternoon at St. Paul's parish hall.

John Pukkila spent the past week at the home of his cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Henning Niemi at Minneapolis, Minn. helping with carpenter work.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fussner of St. Paul, Minn. were weekend guests at the home of her mother, Mrs. Mary Fahrenbach.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elert and sons of Milwaukee were brief callers here Saturday. They were enroute to the northern part of Wisconsin to spend their vacation.
