The altar of St. Paul's Lutheran Church west of Colby held baskets of white and yellow summer flowers for the wedding of Miss Sheryl J. L. Hardrath, 501A N. Central Ave., and Harold Snortheim, rt. 2, Arpin, which was performed by Rev. Raasch at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 1966.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hardrath, rt. 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis., was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole A. Snortheim, rt. 2, Arpin. Miss Diane Burhop played the organ and Miss Judy Lube sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "O Perfect Love."

Rodney Alexander and David Larson seated the guests as they arrived from Chicago, Milwaukee, Rockford, Texas, Wausau, Racine, Eau Claire, Marshfield and Stevens Point, and also the surrounding areas.

Mrs. Jerome (Sally) Weiler, Owen, was the matron of honor, and Mrs. Norman (Jarlene) Snortheim, Marshfield, and twins, Shirley and Sharon Sommer, Curtiss, were bridesmaids. Jerome Weiler, Owen, served as best man, with the groomsmen being Norman Snortheim and Don Deering, both of Marshfield, and Duane Swanson, Rockford, Ill.

The bride's floor length gown of organza over faille taffeta featured a fitted bodice with inset midriff. The bodice was enhanced with Alencon lace appliques and was styled with a scoop neckline. The controlled bell skirt ahd appliques of Alencon lace and trimming of narrow strips of Venice lace. The back had a detachable double train edged with Venice lace and Alencon lace appliques.

The bouffant veil was attached to a forward clip of rolled roses and leaves in organza sprinkled with motifs of seed pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis.

The bridal aides were seen in floor length formals in bud green made with sheath crepe skirts, modified empire waistline and lace tops. The bodices had modified scoop necklines. Back attraction was added by detachable Watteau trains of crepe topped with bows. Their hats, also in green, were of organza, having floral motifs tipped with pearls. Each carried a basket filled with yellow and white chrysanthemums accented with green ribbons.

The wedding reception took place from 2 to 9 p.m. at the bride's parental home. Supper was served at 4 p.m. in the church parlors and the wedding dance was held at Sprtsman's Park, Colby.

The bride attended Owen-Withee High School and is employed by Wis. Finance Corporation in Marshfield. Her husband, who attended Marshfield Senior High School, works in the office of Northern Auto Supply Co. in Marshfield.

Following a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, into Canada and through the eastern states, the Snortheims will reside in Marsfhield at 202 Peach Avenue.
