Borgeson, Jacalyn (Marriage - 10 November 1973)

Miss Jacalyn Borgeson of Rt. 2 Withee, became the bride of Thomas Reinke of Owen at ceremonies performed at 11 a.m. Saturday in Nazareth Lutheran Church at Withee. The Rev. Robert Sullivan, pastor, conducted the service.

The new Mrs. Reinke is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sigfrid Borgeson of Rt. 2 Withee. Her husband is the son of Mrs. Donna Peissig and the late Lee Reinke.

For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of Dacron polyester organza with tiny floral cotton venise fans decorating the bodice. The natural waist and cuffs were accented with bands of cotton venise schifflic embroidery. The flounce swept into a watteau chapel train, with tiny floral cotton Venice fans forming the edge of the matching fingertip veil and headpiece. She carried a bouquet of yellow cymbidium on a white Bible.

Marilyn Stelter served as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Vicki Henke, Beth Hamm, Marlene Stelter and Amber Nirva. They wore floor-length gowns of orange floral pattern. The bridesmaids’ gowns were fitted with orange underlining and that of the maid of honor with an underlining of sand color. The gowns were complete with removable jackets edged with lace. Each carried a hand-carved fan with fall colored mums.

Music was provided by Miss Louise Hansen.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors, and a wedding dance followed in the evening at the American Legion Hall at Owen.

The bride is a graduate Owen-Withee High School in 1972, and of the Trans-American School of Broadcasting at Wausau in 1973. She has been employed as a waitress in Owen. The groom is employed in Owen. Following a wedding trip of unannounced destination, the newlyweds will make their home on Rt. 2 Withee.
