Rendmeister, Yvonne G. (21 January 1936 - 8 May 2015)

Yvonne G. Rendmeister, 79, of Merrillan, formerly of Marshfield, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, at Neillsville Care & Rehabilitation where she resided.

She was born Jan. 21, 1936, in Marshfield to Frank and Catherine Eckes, where she attended St. John’s and Columbus Catholic School. She married Eugene Rendmeister Nov. 27, 1952. They raised six children and were married 61 years. Yvonne worked as a histologist at the Marshfield Hospital for many years. In 1978, Gene and Yvonne and son Rand (Lisa) purchased the Thunderbird Roller Rink, also known as the Lake Arbutus Pavilion, which they owned for 28 years. They built their dream home in 1989 on Lake Arbutus in Hatfield. Yvonne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved boating, cooking, decorating for holidays and spending time with her family.

Yvonne is survived by her five children: Rhonda Rendmeister of Neillsville, Renee (Allen) Drescher of Green Bay, Rand (Lisa) Rendmeister of Merrillan, Ryan (Jeanne) Rendmeister of Hewitt and Roxanne (Doug) Schulz of Marshfield; son-in-law, Ed Schoen of Neillsville; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; her husband Eugene; and a daughter, Rise´ Schoen. The family will hold a celebration of Yvonne’s life at a later date.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona, is assisting the family with arrangements.
