Mrs. Frank Zickert is visiting relatives in Watertown, Wis.

Miss Martha Quast was a guest in the Zickert home a few days last week.

Miss May Shaw has come to stay with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Campbell for a few months.

Miss Bernice Irvine, our teacher, spent Saturday and Sunday in Loyal with her grandparents.

W.H. Slatter of Rozellville was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Steinhaus Thursday and Friday.

An enthusiastic meeting was held in the school house Friday evening. R.V. Brown, Clark Co. agent, gave an illustrated talk on “What a Fertile Soil Will Do.” Mr. Halloday, the lime man from Waukesha, also gave a short talk. As a result, several of our progressive farmers have ordered some lime. Mrs. Walter E. Steinhaus and Miss Hannah Turville were elected directors to help Mr. Mund, our town chairman, get up a better exhibit for the county fair next year. Those present who contributed to the display at this year’s fair voted to give their share of the premium to the Red Cross.

A.A. Huckstead and Walter E. Steinhaus attended the Northern Wisconsin State Fair at Chippewa Falls last Thursday.

Ralph Turville visited school last Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Campbell and son, George, visited Mr. and Mrs. William Bohnsack last Sunday.
