Mrs. E.J. Hoey was at Marshfield yesterday morning.

Mrs. P.N. Nelson was at Eau Claire on Tuesday.

Mrs. J.A. Phillips went to Waupaca yesterday to spend a few days.

Mrs. A.E. Dudley and son returned Tuesday from a visit at Black River Falls.

Rev. Stucki of Black River Falls is here for a brief visit with Rev. Grether and wife.

Mrs. Victor Johnson of Minneapolis is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Haberland.

Miss Daisy Glass went to Campbellsport Tuesday evening to spend a short time visiting friends.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Hauge and Mrs. Peter Johnson drove to La Crosse Tuesday to take in the fair.

Mrs. A. Paulsrude and daughter, Mrs. Cickoski, went to Kenosha on Tuesday to spend a short time.

Albert Bahr came over from Marshfield Monday for one of his occasional visits with old friends.

Mrs. Katie Bertsch arrived here Tuesday from Arco, Idaho to see her sister, Mrs., Carl Haberland, who is quite sick.

Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Haas and son came from Minneapolis Tuesday to spend a few days with Mrs. A. C. Martin.

Mrs. Wm. Stoffel returned Tuesday from Cambridge, Mass., having left her son, Glynn, on a fair road to recovery.

Mrs. Albert Duge came Monday from Bunker Hill, Ind., to assist in the care of her mother, Mrs. Mary Blackman, who has been sick for several weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. James Paulus, Miss Gertrude Farning and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Kaiser attended the Chippewa fair last week and visited Mrs. Kaiser’s parents at Eau Claire.

Mrs. A.C. Martin received a cablegram Tuesday from her husband in France stating that he was feeling fine, and last week A.J. Peterson received a cablegram from his boys giving the same welcome information.

Mrs. Klinke of Greenwood, Miss Helen Klinke of Thorp, Ed. Klinke of Camp Upton, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Kubat of Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schwellenbach of Eland Junction and Ed. Kubat of Kansas City were here to attend the funeral of Mrs. John Kubat.

Herman Berger has moved his family to Portage where he has taken a position as manager of the White Store. In the departure of his family Neillsville loses one of its finest families, but they take with them the best wishes of their many friends here for their future happiness and prosperity.
