Pleasant Ridge (19 Sep 1918)

Mr. Stierwald and wife of Loyal were down to see his sister, Mrs. Emil Jahr, Sunday and attended Sunday School. He gave a fine talk. Mr. Stierwald used to make his home with his sister some 30 years ago and he attended Sunday School here.

Mrs. Gus Rudeen of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming spent a couple of days at the George Vine home last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Waterman spent Sunday evening with George Vine and family.

Ed. Selves is reported very sick.

School started in Dist. No. 5 with Miss Weingarten as teacher, on Monday.

Jim Hughes is busy filling silo for Mr. Hiles.

Mr. and Mrs. George Vine accompanied by Mrs. Rudeen, spent an evening with Mrs. Jahr and daughter, Myra, last Wednesday.

Mr. Foss has moved back onto his farm again and we are glad to have them back.

Mrs. George Vine spent Friday with Mrs. Ed. Selves, helping her care for her sister, Mrs. Blackman, so Mrs. Woodford and Mrs. Rudeen could go to the fair a day.

Miss Vera Slocomb is staying with Mrs. Mary Bruley and is going to school.
